Wake up in the morning ready to praise the Almighty, lean over and give a morning kiss to my wifey, take the time to dress my best, it's off to Bible study
Ready to learn from His Word to the best of my ability, I've been holding on to way too many stresses through the week, but when I walk up in the church I go from weak to complete
I hold my wife's hand while my son bounces on my knee, me and my family praising God while we listen to the preacher teach
The message is good and my God is so great, the congregation stands and sings praises to His name, taking time to pray while the spirit celebrates, another joyous service thanking God on sabbath day

Now we see the service end, but the fun it just begins, I'm ready for the next event, going to eat with family and friends
Fellowship and breaking bread, greens, chicken and corn bread, eyeing the whole table spread as we all bow our heads
After we eat it's out to play, fresh air on a sunny day, puts a smile on my face, it's like a weekly holiday
Watching the kids run around, creating such a joyous sound, running in and out the house without a care or a doubt
Relax and cuddle with the wife, the horizon goes from day to night, wrap her up and hold her tight and thank God for my blessed life
The Lord puts my mind at ease, grants the peace that I seek, days like this are what I need to give me strength for another week
