Beyond the earthly confines, it seeks a greater height

Beyond the flesh and bone, reaching out for Christ the King
Beyond the earthly tether, it seeks a higher plane

Can you feel it? Cause I can feel it
The Spirit's all around me, I pray that you can hear it
Approach and be near it, no reason to fear it
There's more to this world than its physical appearance
Christ walked out the grave to save you from being a worldly slave
Don't be afraid, your debt's been paid, let's rejoice and praise His name
Now that you're awakened let's start the education
You received salvation, now it's justification
Welcome to your new birth, I know sometimes the truth hurts
But His power deserves more than an hour at a new church
It's a relationship you have to grow, read His word and keep it close
Pick up where your armor provided by the Holy Ghost
Go where God pulls you, don't let this world fool you
Keep your faith personal, don't let it become a ritual
Live out the lessons Christ embodied, lean on Him when life is rocky
Through stormy waters, I walk calmly cause my soul's outgrown my body

I make mistakes on too many occasions for me to fake it
Whenever someone tell me that they may just seek the counsel of a man of God
Ask about the way that a Christian lives, wondering if I could frame it
Crazy, I be on the verge of breaking daily
Prayers to the Savior, come and save me from myself, I'm feeling low
It takes a toll, battling your flesh, my faith is grown, yes
But take it slow, we're never traversing this road, test
After test, we'll be opposing you, was I holding true, nay
Equestrian ways, how I strayed, though I prayed like mantis
Breaking habits, came with fasting, God gave the man, I saw changes after
Your soul is more important than your goals
So I suggest you read your Bible, learn to play your role
Yearn to make a home in scripture, choose to be homeless
And you find a group of ghosts you're going home with, hopeless

On my knees I vow to learn all I can about you
I've heard the words the preachers teach, I've prayed the words you gave to me
Let your knowledge be unleashed so I can switch from milk to meat
I know that something's missing, conviction of a Christian
Ears so I would listen and eyes to see your vision
Something deep inside me's calling, I hear the Holy Spirit talking
My soul cries out for you to pick me up when I'm falling
My body's frail but my soul is well, I've seen this world go to hell
I'm noticing the sulfur smell, this isn't a place I want to dwell
I know faith conquers all fear, I'm strengthened when you draw near
When you appear I persevere, you read my heart cause I'm sincere
Jesus keep me in your sight, I offer you my whole life
My soul is glowing, burning bright, cause darkness flees when it sees the light
